Just a day after the skies had opened up and poured tons of rain on Charleston, the morning of Grace and Corie’s day at Legare Waring House could not have been more perfect. It was a beautiful early spring day and the transformation the venue went through with Grace’s vision for a Boho Chic wedding could NOT have been more perfect. It has to be up there with some of most stunning decor I’ve seen at a wedding, especially the florals done by  The Bearded Florist and rattan chandeliers and string lights put up by Grace’s own father’s company, Charleston Electric Services. The vision brought to life by Bouquets and  Bowties as the planning  team behind it was unbelievable.

From the beginning of the day Grace had so many personal touches. In both her and Corie’s getting ready suites pictures from their own parents’ weddings were displayed. I could tell just how much family and friends meant to the both of them, but also just how much these two mean to each other. When it came time for them  to be married underneath the historic Oaks that line the lawn at Legare Waring House Corie just couldn’t hold back his joy. Just wait until you see the epic high kick he did going back down the aisle. It had the entire crowd laughing and his joy couldn’t have been more contagious.

But that’s not where the joy stopped. Both Grace and Corie danced the entire night away under the tent at Legare, to the music of Midnight City Band, who always keeps the party in Charleston rocking. At the end of the night Grace and Corie even joined them on stage with  Corie’s brother, the two of them taking turns on lead vocals of a cover of Maroon Five’s Sugar to end the night. Grace cheered them on and it was honestly just the funnest moment.

Grace and Corie, thank you for allowing me to kick off weddings in 2021 in such a spectacular fashion. You two are just so much fun to be around and I know you have some many other amazingly joyful adventures in store for the future. I can’t thank  you enough for letting me capture this day and the people who mean the most to you two. Keep that spark the two of you so clearly had on your wedding day. I know you will and  I can’t wait to see it continue to shine for years to come.
