CHARLESTON AQUARIUM WEDDING | MORGAN AND RYAN

Morgan and Ryan are two people that you meet and are instantly glad you crossed paths with them. Why? Because they are incredibly kind and easy to be around. The kind of people you want as your friends. We had an  awesome time shooting their engagement photos around downtown Charleston last year, and their wedding day was no different.

Before seeing each other for the first time that day, Morgan and Ryan had a romantic moment when they stood back to back and read letters that each of them had written to each other. It was such a beautiful twist on the traditional first look and I think more than one of us watching shed a tear. In fact, they had a whole cheering section of tourist who stopped in the downtown Charleston park to watch them.

One of the coolest parts about their wedding at the South Carolina Aquarium was that guests were given access to roam anywhere in the aquarium they wanted during cocktail hour. Some stuck to the bar area mingling with each  other. Others went exploring looking at the fish. Those with kids were able to have their kids play in the children’s area.  It truly did offer  something for everyone.

Morgan and Ryan danced the night away in front of the fish tanks and their dj had everyone having so much fun the entire night. Having been a dancer in college, you could tell Morgan was having the time of her life. When it was time to say their goodbyes,  Morgan and Ryan got quite the surprise as their parents had arranged for a Rolls Royce to whisk the newlyweds away after running through a line of guests waving led sparklers in the Charleston night air.

Morgan  and  Ryan,  I am honored to have been a long for this ride with you. I know at times it might not have seemed like it was going to happen because of everything going on in the world, but the two  of you made it!  And  I have no doubt that you’ll continue to make it through anything else life may throw at  you. Because you have each other. And if what I’ve witnessed between the two of you is any indication, you two are golden.

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
