When Does Your Client Experience Begin

when client experience begins for wedding photographers

when client experience begins for wedding photographers

We’ve been talking a lot about why client experience matters as a photographer on the blog recently. If you’ve read the posts, you know that I truly believe in the idea that how you treat your people will lead you to success. Today, I want to dive into exactly when your client experience begins. You might be surprised to realize that it doesn’t actually start with your sessions.

Client experience begins before your clients inquire with you!

Wait, what? Yeah. Client experience begins WAY before a client ever inquires with you! Think about it: before you hire someone for a service, what do you do? You probably check out their social media, view their website, and read their reviews. Right? So why would it be any different for someone looking for a photographer?

With that in mind, it’s time to take a look at all of those parts of your business and figure out what changes to implement so that you’re providing stellar service from start to finish. Start with your social media. Decide if your accounts feel welcome and like they’re meeting a friend, or if it’s a bit more buttoned up. Everyone’s brand and business is different but most people buying a service are going to want a friendly face and business owner to deal with. You can ask the same questions about your website. Is it easy for someone to picture themselves as your client Or is it confusing to understand what you do or offer?

Finally, you know that I believe in the power of a good review! Are your reviews and social proof easy to find? If not, that’s one thing you can start fixing today! Download my tips for better client reviews and then start sharing them!! Remember, you can create a community that someone wants to be a part of simply by how you present yourself to the world.

Before your client ever signs on the dotted line, you want them to feel welcome and like they’ve found a friend. Creating an open and welcoming environment to do your job is going to make everyone feel more at ease and really elevate your client experience… and you hardly had to do anything!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]
