This weekend officially marked the end of my 2017 wedding season, which also happened to be my very first one, and it could not have ended on more of a high note. I am truly blessed to “work” with the best couples ever, but really sharing someone’s wedding day doesn’t feel much like work. Michelle and Tom planned a spectacular Autumn day at Bear Brook Valley in Fredon, New Jersey, and not a single detail was overlooked. Being that Michelle’s sister is married to my brother, it felt like a bit of a family affair for me, which made it all the more special for me to be a part of.

Upon arriving at Bear Brook Valley, I was greeted by an energetic wedding party, a beyond gorgeous bridal suite, and details that were just to die for. Michelle had chosen beautiful, floral getting ready robes for herself, the bridesmaids, and the flower girls that complimented the wine colored gowns and florals for later in the day, and they made their getting ready shots so beautiful. She also had picked out wrap scarves for the girls and good thing she did. The New Jersey backdrop may have been showing off it’s fall foliage, but the temperatures outside felt more like those of a winter day. Fear not though, as Michelle had bought blankets for all of her guests to keep warm with during the outdoor ceremony. Like I said, not a detail overlooked.

During their vows, Michelle and Tom both spoke of of how upon meeting they both new right away they had met their match. Specifically, for Tom it was when Michelle said come here and give me a hug. That’s just the type of warmth Michelle exudes. Tom also surprised his mom with a special mother/son dance to “Forever Young,” which was only the beginning of the packed dance floor that went on all night long.

Michelle and Tom, from the second I arrived at Bear Brook Valley to the sparkler send off, your day was one I will never forget. I will also never forget that you took a chance on me when I was first starting out to tell not only the story of your day, but the beginning of your life as man and wife. If the packed room of loved ones is any indication of the people you’ll have behind you cheering you on, myself included, your lives will never be void of family, faith, and most of all love. I wish you nothing but the best, starting with the warm beaches of Jamaica, on of which I hope you are laying on now while you get to relive your wedding day, cocktail in hand!
