In the weeks leading up to the wedding day which took place at the beautiful Cannon Green in downtown Charleston the weather was calling for rain. That morning I even stashed my trunk with my collection of 10 clear umbrellas. But that day ended up being BEAUTIFUL without a single drop of rain. They brought along their pup, Bercky, who made her appearance during portraits for some adorable family images.
The ceremony was one of the most touching parts of the day. I LOVE when couples choose an officiant who is meaningful to them and their lives, rather than just a hired officiant. In this case, Brian and Rachel’s close friend did the honors, drawing both hearty laughs and moments of pure emotion from all in attendance. It was honestly one of the best ceremonies I have ever witnessed, and the personal vows Brian and Rachel wrote to each other made it even that much better.
Rachel and Brian, I know these past months have offered life challenges that you probably weren’t expecting to face in the time leading up to your wedding. But let this be a sign that you got through it because you did it together, and that you’ll be able to do that with everything life will inevitably throw at you. I am so incredibly honored to not only have been behind the camera for you, but to call you two friends.
