HALEIGH & TYLER | AN ELEGANT TANGLEWOOD PLANTATION WEDDING IN LYNCHBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA

There are certain wedding days that you pull up to as a photographer and just know that it’s  going to be an unforgettable day. Haleigh and Tyler’s wedding was one of them. It began with pulling up onto the STUNNING property of Tanglewood Plantation in Lynchburg, South Carolina, where a gorgeous white mansion on perfectly manicured lawns greet guests pulling down the sprawling driveway. Added to that was the picture perfect October day, with a little bit of fall just starting to creep into the air after weeks of summer heat. And even more lovely than the grounds or the day were the couple themselves, who truly were gorgeous both inside and out.

But perhaps the most beautiful part of the day was watching Haleigh and Tyler forge a deeper bond as a family, as they married in front of their ADORABLE six month old girl, Lilah Kate. During their ceremony, the two tied three separate cords into a braid together to represent the three pillars of their marriage, and a bond that can’t be easily broken. And after sharing their vows together, the proceeded down the aisle in front of family and friends with their baby girl in their arms.
The night continued with dancing on an elegant white and black checkerboard dance floor, with little Lilah Kate having the ultimate wardrobe change into footsie pajamas, of which I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who wished they could rock something just as comfy to party the night away in. Haleigh and Tyler’s guests filled the dance floor the rest of the evening and sent them off in style with a sparkler exit.
Haleigh and Tyler, thank you for letting me be a witness to the day you became husband and wife. The two of you are kind, and beautiful, and the love you have your baby girl is the foundation of which you will build your family. I am always honored to be a part of couples’ big days, but in your case, it meant even more to me, being a parent myself. Your wedding day is one I will never forget and hopefully these images are a part of why it will be a day you won’t forget either.

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
