BABY BECKHAM’S ROOM | A BRIGHT, CHEERFUL, AND COLORFUL NURSERY

Bright, colorful, cheerful, baby boy nurseryIt honestly feels pretty surreal knowing we’re going to bring home our second baby boy in just a matter of days, but Tyler and I (and of course big brother Hudson) couldn’t be more excited for our newest addition, who will make us a family of four. And that little love bug will officially be named Beckham Murphy Dye. When first thinking of names we knew we liked the name Beckham, but it wasn’t until Hudson latched onto the name and quite insistently started calling his baby brother on the way Beckham, that the name became official. Murphy is my maiden names and means so much to me, that I love that my little guy will officially have it as part of his full moniker. Displaying it above his crib was a no brainer!

When thinking about decorating another nursery, I quickly decided that I wanted to do a theme again because it helps me focus my decorating and endless Pinterest searching. However, when the surf and beach theme I had planned went out the window because off an insane piece I found for Hudson’s new big boy room that I fell in love with (more on that in a different blog post to come), I couldn’t find anything I was as inspired by as I was the first time around with Hudson’s Neverland Nursery.  So instead, I decided this room should be full of color, full of cheer, and full of brightness. I decided to go about mixing and matching things as I found them, and it honestly turned out better than I could have hoped for. The very first items I found were the CUTE animal prints, and I decided to use those as my jumping off points.

Most of the furniture for Beckham’s nursery was recycled from Hudson’s nursery, so finding new accessories, linens, and decor was essential for changing the look and feel of the room. One of my favorite things in the room is the Cuddle and Kind Benedict the Bunny, as it’s an amazing company that helps to feed children in need for every doll sold. Supporting family run small businesses is near and dear to my heart, and the fact that they give back to those in need is just icing on the cake.

Perhaps the most special thing in this room though, is the print that reads, “The World Would Have Less Color Without You” because it is a one of a kind print created by Beckham’s very talented Aunt Lolo, aka my sister Laura. I’ve been on her to open her own Etsy shop for a looooong time now, and it looks like that may be finally becoming a reality soon, which of course I’ll fill you all in on when it happens!

I am absolutely in love with how this nursery turned out, and can’t wait to rock little Beckham to sleep in the same rocker I held Hudson in just a few short years ago. Cue the tears!!
