BRIDGET AND BRENDAN | A LAKE VALHALLA CLUB WEDDING

You can take the girl out of Jersey, but you can’t take the Jersey out of the girl. And that is exactly how I felt this weekend being able to go back to my home state of New Jersey to photograph Bridget and Brendan’s wedding. Every time I get to go back to where I grew up it’s always a special weekend for me, but this one was even more so because it was at the venue where I photographed my very FIRST wedding two years ago. Bridget found my blog post of Pam and Ryan’s wedding at the Lake Valhalla club and when she reached out I knew it would be so much fun to get to go back there once again. And I was right!

Bridget and Brendan’s day was just beautiful from beginning to end, starting with the gorgeous spring day they got. The venue overlooks a stunning lake making the property to die for, but even more important than how the day looked was how it felt. I could just tell how loved Bridget and Brendan are by all of their friends and family.
They were married by a close friend in probably what was one of the most hysterical ceremonies I have ever witnessed. Truly, I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard during a wedding. But the most touching part of the evening came during the speeches when Brendan’s brother talked about how proud he was of Brendan and all his accomplishments in life. It was a moment that you could just tell meant so much to both Brendan and Bridget, and one I won’t forget anytime soon.
Bridget and Brendan, I truly believe there was a reason Bridget came across that blog post of my past wedding at the Lake Valhalla Club and a reason I was meant to be shooting your wedding. It was such a special day from beginning to end and I hope with all of my heart it was everything the two of you ever dreamed of. I am so incredibly honored to have been behind the camera for the two of you and wish you nothing be the very best in your new life together as Mr. and Mrs. Rizza!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
