A BOHEMIAN STYLED CHARLESTON ELOPEMENT AT GROVE HOUSE PLANTATION

“She was my dream. She made me who I am, and holding her in my arms was more natural to me than my own heartbeat. I think about her all the time. Even now, when I’m sitting here, I think about her. There could never have been another.”  –  Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

This amazing Boho inspired elopement styled shoot at the Grove Plantation House located on the outskirts of Charleston ended up to be so dreamy that the first thing I did upon returning home that evening was to put on “The Notebook” in the background while I loaded my images to the computer. And I have to say models Alex and Sterling really gave Allie and Noah a run or their money. The Grove Plantation House located on the outskirts of Charleston looked like it straight out of a movie with spanish moss sweeping down from the trees and white archways, providing an endless amount of inspiration. For a Charleston wedding photographer, it really was a dream location.

Add in that there is something so incredibly romantic about the idea of an elopement with just you and the person you love the most in the world.  And a Charleston elopement at that, with the beauty of the Lowcountry surrounding you seems even better. With boho inspired touches like this ethereal flower crown, chic two piece gown, and a dapper groom decked out in suspenders and a bow tie, you had all the makings of an insanely gorgeous and romantic Charleston elopement.

A few years ago I never really thought I would end up as a Charleston wedding photographer, and beyond that I never  thought I would get to a part of styled shoots like this one, but I am so lucky to have found my way into the Lowcountry wedding world, and even more lucky to have met so many awesome vendors whose vision for this shoot was nothing short of spectacular. Check all the Charleston wedding vendors out at the end of this post, and enjoy this Boho wedding dream.
