ASHLEY AND CAMERON | A CALEDONIA GOLF AND FISH CLUB WEDDING

FUN. If there’s one word I could use to describe Ashley and Cameron as a whole it would be fun. And the same goes for their wedding day. We danced our best Elaine dance moves. We watched Cameron kill it up on stage. I snuck a late night Nathan’s hot dog from their reception because why wouldn’t you have a late night hot dog station? Like I said, just so much fun. Ashley and Cameron were married at the beautiful Caledonia Golf and Fish Club in Pawley’s Island, and the grounds were just stunning. Trees dripping with Spanish moss, string lights illuminating the spaces, and a huge marsh flanking the big white club house. It was my first time there and I’m already dying to go back.
YOU GUYS!!!! When it came time for the first dance these two were the cutest!!! Honestly, it was my favorite first dance to date that I have ever photographed. They spun and and swayed and were just so darn charming that I couldn’t help but smile right along with them. Because when I say they smiled throughout the whole thing, I mean they grinned ear to ear and didn’t stop for a single second. Honestly I could have watched these two all night. I even asked them what Dave Matthews Band song it was because I had never heard it before and I  immediately wanted to go home and download it. For the record, it was “You and Me,” and it’s so sweet.
One of the coolest parts of this wedding was that the drummer for Emerald Empire Band – who killed it ALL night long – is Cameron’s old drum teacher. So when it came time for the party to start a little later in the evening Cameron actually jumped up on stage and took over for him for not one, but TWO songs, per the crowd’s request. As he jammed with the band to both “Signed Sealed Delivered” and “Superstitious,” his old teacher watched on with pride as he filmed Cameron on his iPhone. It was just one of those moments that I LOVED.
Ashley and Cameron, the two of you are just so much fun. If I could have as much fun at every wedding as I did at yours, I would be one happy girl. The two of you just shine together. I lost count of how many times you told Ashley how beautiful she was Cameron. Never stop that. And the thing is, there’s not a doubt in my mind that you ever would. The two of you are the real deal, and I’ll be living vicariously through your Foodie and NYC adventures via the gram. I love you both and thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me be a part of your day! Elaine moves FOREVER!!!
