Why You Should Share Reviews

One of the hardest parts about building a business is being able to demonstrate what you do and what you provide to your clients without feeling like you’re “salesy” or bragging. Seriously, I get it. That’s why reviews are SO important. These little snippets from your Ride or Dye clients are the best way to share about what you bring to the table – and the fact that they come from someone other than you is super powerful. As business owners, I can’t stress the importance of sharing these reviews with your potential clients enough because…

Reviews provide powerful social proof.

Social proof is basically the idea that people see the experience that you provide and they want in. By demonstrating time and time again that you provide something valuable as shared by the reviews you’re putting in the world, other potential clients will get excited. They’re going to want that experience and feeling too! And seriously, it’s OKAY to be your biggest cheerleader!!!

Reviews sell your services for you.

Let’s be real, sometimes marketing your business is hard. Reviews from past satisfied customers help sell your services for you. By demonstrating (over and over again) that you’re able to serve your customers and meet their expectations, if not exceed them, you’ve just found a super powerful marketing tool. Potential clients will be able to trust that you’re actually going to be able to show up and do what they need because you’re showing that you’ve done it before! WHat’s more powerful than that?

Reviews train your future clients.

Alright, that sounds a little silly. But the truth is by showing off the reviews that you do have, you’re showing potential and current clients that those reviews are meaningful to you! They’ll understand why you’re asking when it’s their turn and they’ll know what other people have talked about. It becomes part of your experience and makes it easier to ask the next client for a powerful review!

Have I convinced you yet that reviews matter? Seriously, I could go on for days about why you should share reviews as a business owner… But it comes down to this: Reviews demonstrate that you know your stuff, provide a killer client experience, and continue to do it over and over again. I’m not kidding around when I say that you need to be gathering reviews for your business starting now!!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
