First Birthday

THE LOISELLE FAMILY | PITT STREET BRIDGE

2017-07-11_0030.jpgYears ago in the Sigma Chi big room at one of the fraternity’s date parties if you had told me I’d be photographing Joanna and Brendon’s gorgeous family in Charleston, where we’d both be living about ten years later, I never would have believed you. But it’s funny the way life turns out sometimes. You see, Brendon is my husband Tyler’s fraternity brother and I still remember when he started bringing Joanna around so many years ago. Now they have two gorgeous girls, Olivia and Adeline (aka Livvie and Addie) and have been our great friends since we ended up in the same city as them a few months ago.

The morning of their photos, Joanna texted me to let me know that Livvie kept telling her she was getting married that day because of the cute white dress she was wearing, which was just about the cutest thing to get me even more excited about capturing some moments for them in honor of Addie’s upcoming first birthday. Wait until you see the gorgeous eyelashes and smiles on these girls! They are just the most precious!

We met at the Pitt Street Bridge, which has picturesque lines of Palmetto trees and views of the Ravenel Bridge leading into downtown Charleston. Unfortunately, that morning also brought with it a looming storm, but that didn’t scare this crew off! They were such awesome sports about fighting the wind and eventual rain that would cut our session off before getting individual first birthday shots of Addie. BUT that just means I get to go out with the same cutie pie again this week. Until then, enjoy these photos of all four of the Loiselles!

This gorgeous Wild Dunes Resort wedding in  Charleston, SC for Megan and Ian truly was one of the most spectacular days, but the end result was completely different than what these two first had in mind for their wedding. When I met with Megan and Ian for a glass of wine over two years ago […]

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
