#1 Way to Get More Reviews for your photography business: Kate Dye, Charleston photographer and educator, shares about how to get more reviews!

As a business owner, there’s literally nothing more powerful than social proof for your business. Testimonials and reviews are proof that your business and what you do matters and makes a difference in someone’s life. Your potential Ride or Dye clients want to know that they’re getting exactly what they want and hope for from working with you. Having reviews to share on your website, social media, and literally anywhere you can is one of the easiest ways to convey to future clients that you know what the heck you’re doing. Here’s the thing: I know that asking for reviews feels icky. But, it’s SO important. That’s why I want to share the #1 way to get more reviews for your photography business: JUST ASK.

No, it really is that simple! Just ask your clients for a review. I know that one little sentence sounds overwhelming, but the reality is that your Ride or Dyes will want to be there for you and help you out. Simply asking solves two problems we come across as business owners. No one wants to bug their clients or be demanding. But the thing is:

People are busy.

It’s 2021. We all have lots going on in our lives – and a lot of things to look at every day too. By just simply asking our clients outright to leave a review, we’re making it clear that it’s important to us to hear from them. Creating a quick email to send is an easy way to add in asking for reviews to your workflow. You’d be amazed what happens when you just ask someone nicely to help you out.

They’ll probably be happy to!

If you’re providing a stellar service and product for them (which I know you are!), your Ride or Dye clients are going to be more than happy to leave a review for you! By the time you go to ask for a review, you’ve probably got a pretty good relationship with them. Your Ride or Dyes will WANT to support you. So use that and ask away!!

That’s it. Seriously, that’s as simple as it gets. Just start to ask your clients for reviews. If you’re wondering about how to start, grab my free guide, “5 Simple Steps for Getting Better Client Reviews.” A link  is waiting for you below. This gorgeous Wild Dunes Resort wedding in  Charleston, SC for Megan and Ian truly was one of the most spectacular days, but the end result was completely different than what these two first had in mind for their wedding. When I met with Megan and Ian for a glass of wine over two years ago […]

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
