SARAH & NOAH | A DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON SWEETHEART AND FAMILY SESSION

2017-10-23_0001.jpg

I don’t get nervous much before sessions, but sometimes when I work with other photographers I can’t help but let a little bit of my nerves come through. This is exactly what happened Saturday evening when I made my way to the historic district in Charleston. To say those nerves faded away the second Sarah rounded the corner is not an understatement. How could they not? She literally looked like a walking ball of sunshine. And that’s just what she is. And those boys of hers? Noah, Levi and Tanner were looking pretty darn dapper themselves.

Sarah had one of the best ideas ever (#parentingwin) and invited their babysitter along with them to take the little guys home after they were done have a few family portraits taken. This is beyond brilliant for anyone looking to get some pictures of them and their sweetheart in without distractions because as we all know toddler attention spans definitely won’t last through an hour and a half session walking the streets of Charleston. That didn’t stop me from getting some sweet shots of her boys before they left (take a look at the one of the two of them together below and just prepare to melt!), and I have to say Levi and Tanner’s personalities are just as cute as they are. Plus y’all know I am a sucker for a good bow tie and suspenders.

Noah, Sarah, and I spent the rest of the evening wandering the streets of Charleston and know matter how many times I photograph couples within the same five block radius, it will just never get old. Add into that just how easy going Sarah and Noah were and this felt more like just walking around with friends than any type of job. Maybe that’s why they say find what you love doing and you’ll never work a day in your life.

Sarah and Noah, thank you for trusting me to capture some of these fleeting moments while your boys are so young, but also for allowing me to remind you where it all began with pictures of just the two of you. You both are so kind and I hope you fall in love with these images just as much as I have. And Sarah, let’s go take this photography world by storm lady!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was.
