Leah and Justin’s wedding day was one I was looking forward to for months, and not just because of how dreamy their engagement photos turned out. This particular wedding was one circled on my calendar because it would be my first wedding back after welcoming our second son, Beckham, into our family in May. And let me tell you, it felt good to be back. Scratch that. It felt fantastic!!
Leah and Justin’s wedding day could not have been more beautiful. After weeks of rain here in Charleston, we FINALLY got a day without a single drop of rain, although the same cannot be said for the Charleston heat and humidity. The summer sun was certainly shining on the grounds of the Charleston Tea Plantation, where all the festivities took place. The setting was exactly why so many photographers love shooting weddings in Charleston. Pathways lined with mossy trees, a trolly to take guests to and from the ceremony, and the most beautiful Oak tree under which Leah and Justin were married. It really was beautiful to behold.
Leah and Justin’s adorable son Jackson was wheeled down the aisle in a John Deer wagon, and I don’t think I’ve seen a cuter little guy. It was so much fun watching him take in the day and shoot his parents with a bubble gun later on after their first dance. And that first dance y’all… I may or may not have shed a little tear and I swear it’s because Train’s “Marry Me” gets me every time.
Leah and Justin, I absolutely loved being a part of your wedding day. It was filled with so much love from beginning to end and you’re surrounded by a group of family and friends that clearly has a lot to do with that. I couldn’t have asked for a better first wedding back to get me geared up for the busy fall season, and this is a day I will always remember.
