Walk around downtown Charleston on any given day and you’ll see a number of different photo shoots going. From weddings to engagements to local bloggers, it’s pretty rare that you won’t see at least one. So for the residents of Charleston, it means that there’s often people milling about outside of their homes. That was the case when I met Nicole and Travis for their engagement session. We walked around and stopped at beautiful homes to use them as the backdrop for this totally cute and totally in love couple. And we were having a great time!
We stopped at one point so that I could photograph Nicole’s ring on a window box and imagine all of our surprise when an older woman, dressed in leopard print and holding a dirty martini sauntered out of her gorgeous home on Tradd Street and approached us. (Clearly this woman was living her best life.) I was a little nervous she was going to ask us to leave, but she struck up a conversation with us, and asked if we’d like to take a few photos in the back gardens on her home. Um… YES PLEASE!!!!
And that’s the thing about Charleston. It really is the most charming place for a reason. And Nicole and Travis, so are you! I absolutely cannot wait for your beautiful Charleston Resort and Marina wedding this spring. We’ll be sure to make a little Charleston magic once again!!
