There are some weddings that just feel a little big magical, and when I tell you Katie and David’s was one of those for me, I mean it. Magical. Stunning. Heartwarming. Just some of the adjectives I could use to describe their day at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. After pushing their original April date back to October, I would say it was more than worth the wait.
Katie and David said their “I Dos” under massive oak trees dripping in Spanish moss. The simplicity of just letting the backdrop of nature speak for itself was breathtaking. But can we talk about Katie? It’s one of those that dress had to be made just for her moments. Because it was unbelievable the way she just glowed in it. After they made it official we took a few images of them as fresh newlyweds of just a few minutes under that same moss and I’d be lying to you if I didn’t say that they’re some of the images I am most proud of in all of my career thus far.
If there’s one trend I think needs to continue on it’s to dance and dine al fresco under the stars. Set up on the back lawn of Magnolia, cafe string lights lit up the night as guests danced the night away. Katie and David had a vintage sofa and chair set complete with a chandelier underneath where we had some fun taking photos throughout the night both with them and guests.
Katie and David, I knew from that very first meeting in Starbucks all those months ago that I was somehow placed in your path for a reason, and you on mine. I’m so thankful to call you not only a #kdyecouple, but friends. I cannot wait to watch the two of you grow as a couple and create a legacy of love and family together. Thank you for allowing me to be there for the first moments of it.
