What do you get when you combine the MOST smiley bride. a groom who can play the drums, a band that blew everyone away, a first line exit from the Church accompanied by a trombone, a choreographed first dance, the SWEETEST Father of the Bride, an epic dance party, and a confetti exit? AN UNFORGETTABLE wedding is what you get, and that’s exactly what Sarah and Ben’s Wickliffe House Wedding in Charleston last weekend.
The day started at the Wickliffe House where the energy of Sarah’s getting ready room was just so much fun from the very second I stepped in. Getting ready photos included a great first look with Sarah and her Bridesmaids, but an even better one with her Dad. Just wait until you see the sweet look on his face when he says his baby girl as a bride for the very first time.
We also did Sarah and Ben’s first look there while the wedding party watched out of windows from the house before heading over to St. Luke’s where they would tie the knot. When exiting the church the brass section of the band lead all the guests back to The Wickliffe House to, “When the Saints Go Marching In,” which was so incredibly fun!
Once the reception hit it was PARTY PARTY PARTY. Emerald Empire Band had the entire wedding rocking out all night. Including Sarah and Ben who jumped on stage at the end of the night. It was a moment that so full of pure joy that it seriously still makes me smile thinking about it.
Sarah and Ben, I had SO MUCH FUN at your wedding. The joy and laughter was contagious. But more than that, I got to be witness to the two of you and how absolutely head over heels in love you are. And that will forever be the best part of the day for me. Thank you for bringing me along for this crazy fun day. I wish you two SO many more dance parties in your future.
