If there is one word I can use to describe both Megan and Jon it would be warm. From the second we walked up to meet each other at the Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant I instantly felt like they were old friends. Maybe it’s because the first thing Megan did was embrace me in a hug as she flashed me the sparkling smile that just lights up so many of these pictures.
Megan and Jon have lived together in Charleston for the past few years and despite their love for their city, this is the first time getting pictures taken together here since they tied the knot a few years ago. A new addition to their photos this time is Liberty, a dog they rescued from the local shelter, which again just speaks to the kind of people Megan and Jon are. She is just the cutest little pup, and was honestly so well behaved during her time in the spotlight that I almost forgot she was there at times.
The sunset and light at the Pitt Street Bridge did not disappoint, painting the sky with gorgeous colors. It was one of those warm Charleston nights that had tons of locals out fishing, relaxing, and enjoying the weather. There was even one person with the idea to rig up his own hammock. Genius! Add Megan and Jon into the mix and it literally was the perfect, early fall evening in the low country.
Megan and Jon, I mean it when I say you felt like old friends to me. The warmth you exude as a couple literally shines off the two of you, and I am so happy I got to capture these sweet images of the two of you and Liberty. I can honestly say the best part of my job is meeting people like you, and I hope these images hang on your walls for years to come!
