LAUREN AND JEFF | A BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL HILTON HEAD ISLAND WEDDING

When someone can make you laugh as much as Jeff and Lauren can, you definitely expect to be doing a lot of that on their wedding day. After all, this was the groom who requested the outtakes from their engagement shoot, which says a lot about how fun their personalities are.  But what I wasn’t expecting was to be crying so much. But early on in the day when Lauren couldn’t hold back her tears as she read a letter Jeff had written her, the first tears came to my eyes. And then later during their first look when it was now Jeff who was tearing up, well I should have known it was all over from there.

Lauren and Jeff’s wedding in Hilton Head Island was absolutely stunning, but what made it so different and very unique was that the reception actually took place at the bride’s father’s restaurant. It gave the whole day a decidedly family feel. The flowers (which were so KILLER by the way!!!) were done by a girl Lauren had known since third grade. The band was one that often played at the restaurant. The planner, Meghan, of Stella Jane Events was also friends with the family. It honestly just made the whole day have such a tight knit feeling to it.

One of my favorite parts of the day was watching Lauren’s Mima break it down on the dance floor. Don’t believe me that she was the dance floor MVP? Just take a look at the pictures below. She was hilarious to say the least. I can only hope years from now I’ll be doing the same thing at my granddaughter’s wedding! To make me love her Mima even more, during the reception Lauren told me that her grandfather, and Mima’s late husband had been a pilot, just like Jeff (shout out for your service to this country Jeff! As well as your dad! You’re both awesome!).  This was something that her grandfather had really liked about Jeff before he passed away. During the ceremony a plane flew overhead and Lauren’s Mima pointed out to her that that was her grandfather letting them all know he was there. What a moment!

Lauren and Jeff, your day was so much fun. From the pink bus, to the wedding party shots, to ending the night with an NSYNC encore, I loved every single second of it. I wish we could do it all over again with you. There’s no doubt in my mind that the two of you are going to keep on having fun together for years and years and years to come. Cheers to you Mr. and Mrs. Pecora!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
