KERRI AND KEVIN | A RAINY DAY FIRE HOUSE ENGAGEMENT SESSION

What happens when it literally rains on your parade? In Kerri and Kevin’s case, all it means is grab a few clear umbrellas. That’s exactly what happened when we went to take their engagement photos and it ended up down pouring on the two. Instead of stressing out though, the were game to grab my umbrellas and have some fun in the rain. And listen, if you can keep that attitude about most of what happens in life, you’ll be off to a good start!

Kerri started following me on instagram even before she was engaged and had been following along knowing that she would want me behind the camera for their big day. I CAN NOT tell you what a huge honor that is for me!! Building relationships with my couples is the heart of my business, and it’s why I do what I do. We started their session off at Kevin’s fire station (thank you SO MUCH for your bravery Kevin!) and it was so much fun to capture him in his element. We got to chatting and even figured out that he actually worked on my next door neighbor’s house when their roof was struck by lightening last year. Our water accidentally got cut off in the confusion and it was actually Kevin who did that! That had me laughing so hard, and you guys, what a small WORLD! Or at least a small Mount Pleasant 😉
Kerri and Kevin, I cannot wait to get you out on the farm on what will hopefully be a beautiful sunny day. But even if it’s not, we will know what to do!!!!! It will be here before you know it, and I can’t wait!!!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
