KELLY AND STEVEN | DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON WEDDING PORTRAITS

This is the main body of your blog post. If we can give you once piece of advice, keep it brief.

Downtown Charleston Outdoor Engagement Session

Wedding planning is stressful. There’s no if and or buts about it. BUT add in 2020 and all it’s crazy, and a whole new level of stress has been added onto brides and grooms this year. And my sweet couple, Kelly and Steven might know this better than anyone.

With plans to wed in May, Kelly and Steven decided to postpone their plans until September. But with all the uncertainty with Covid, they decided to postpone again, but this time until 2021. Heartbroken about their plans being sent into a tailspin, Kelly and Steven made a big decision.
The two decided to get married in a backyard ceremony  on their original date, but kept it secret for a while! Until one day, I received an email from Kelly saying, “Surprise!! We’re Married!!!”  with a picture of the two of them in a white dress and blue suit. And not wanting to let the day of their second postponement pass them by, Kelly and Steven asked if we could meet in downtown Charleston to do a portrait session in their wedding day outfits.
The results were nothing short of magical!!!!! Kelly and Steven, the love you two have for each other is undeniable. Seeing the way you smile at each other is honestly heart warming. And if you two made this day look this good, just you wait for next June! I know I can’t!!

This gorgeous Wild Dunes Resort wedding in  Charleston, SC for Megan and Ian truly was one of the most spectacular days, but the end result was completely different than what these two first had in mind for their wedding. When I met with Megan and Ian for a glass of wine over two years ago […]

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
