From the second I pulled on Katie’s parents property in Aiken, SC I knew that Katie and Brandon’s engagement session was going to be Epic. We were surrounded by sprawling acres of gorgeous land on Katie’s parents’ farm property. Not to mention Katie and Brandon looked absolutely killer. The greeted me with big smiles and immediately began to show me around and tell me all the places we could go shoot, AND the animals including their dog and Katie’s horse that we could incorporate into their photos. No don’t get me wrong, I love me some downtown Charleston. But getting to explore a new place and be creative in a different environment really excited me. Not to mention Katie and Brandon are just so darn cute together!
What also made this engagement session so very special is that I was treated like family. Katie and Brandon both had their parents present, who were sitting on the back porch drinking wine and soaking in the calm Sunday evening air. They welcomed me to the farm, and during a break during which Katie and Brandon changed outfits, they invited me to stay for dinner. While I politely declined so that I could get back to my hotel room for some much needed sleep before the 2.5 hour drive home the next morning, it meant so much to me to be welcomed with such open arms.
Katie and Brandon, I can’t wait to be back at thee farm for your wedding next June. Having met both of your parents and seeing what amazing humans they’ve raised, I just know it will be a day filled with an unimaginable amount of love. Until then, I hope these engagement images bring you so much joy!
