KAITLYN AND TAYLOR | A CLASSIC DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON ENGAGEMENT

From the very first time I talked on the phone with Kaitlyn about her wedding to Taylor, I knew I had to have her as a #kdyebride. She was bubbly and sweet and kind and basically everything I love about working with brides like her. So when she told me that they’d like to book me for their Olde Wide Awake Plantation wedding I was already counting down the days to their engagement session.

Kaitlyn and Taylor dated in high school and got back together again years later. I loved hearing the story of how Taylor proposed to Kaitlyn in Punta Cana with family around because family is also so important to myself. Take one look at Kaitlyn’s pear shaped diamond too and you’ll see just what a great job Taylor did on it.
These two traveled to Charleston to shoot their engagement photos downtown near the battery and they were dressed to impress. We got really lucky with the wisteria blooming near some of the houses and it made for gorgeous backdrops for these two. But really what I’ll remember from this engagement session was just how easy it was to talk to the two of them. We chatted about what else, but The Bachelor, and all sorts of other things and it really felt like the time just flew by.
Kaitlyn and Taylor, I can’t believe your wedding is so soon and I seriously can’t wait to shoot it for the two of you. It’s going to be here faster than we know it, and if it’s anything like your engagement photos it’s going to be just perfect!

This gorgeous Wild Dunes Resort wedding in  Charleston, SC for Megan and Ian truly was one of the most spectacular days, but the end result was completely different than what these two first had in mind for their wedding. When I met with Megan and Ian for a glass of wine over two years ago […]

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
