It’s rare these days that I see something done at a wedding that I haven’t seen done before, but that’s exactly what happened at Stacey and Jacob’s wedding. I was blown away by one romantic moment, that has me wishing more couples would do what these two chose to. But more on that later.
Stacy and Jacob got married at the Creek Club at I’on surrounded by family and friends and a beautiful late summer Charleston Day. While getting ready at the Bohemian downtown with her not one, not two, but THREE sisters, the ladies laughed so much, danced to the BEST early 2000s playlist (hello Nick Lachey), and popped Veuve to celebrate the day. It was honestly so much fun.
When it was time to make their way over to the Creek Club, Jacob and Stacey shared their first look, and it hands down was one of the best reactions I’ve seen at a first look. Just take a look in these images at Jacob’s face and I know you’ll agree. But it was what happened afterwards that made us all cry. No joke. I was crying. Stacey was crying. We were all crying. The two shared personal vows with just each other BEFORE the ceremony instead of saying them in front of everyone at the ceremony. It was the most touching moment, and made me have ALL the feels.
Stacey and Jacob, I watched you two hit the dance floor together and laugh with the hugest smiles. I saw you look with sentimental love in your eyes as Stacey’s grandparents were the last ones standing on the dance floor celebrating their long and successful marriage. I saw you two interact with your family and friends and show deep love and care for them throughout the day. And it’s because of those things that I saw that I know someday you two will be the ones at your own grandkid’s weddings as the last ones standing at the end of the anniversary dance.
Thank you to the team who made the magic happen:
