CHUCK AND MELISSA | AN ISLAND HOUSE WATERFRONT WEDDING

Where to even begin when it comes to tell you about Melissa and Chuck’s Island House wedding… It honestly was such a beautiful day of two families coming together, and I’m not sure I have ever seen a bride who was more excited about all the events of the day before here. Melissa’s attitude was infectious upon arriving at The Island House, and Chuck could not have been nicer or more laid back. The combination of the two equaled a fantastic wedding day.

Melissa and her ladies had the CUTEST monogrammed shirts to get ready in, and the mood was decidedly festive and fun. And not to be outdone with their fashion, Chuck and his groomsmen all wore Brackish bowties, which happens to be a favorite around the Dye household. Lashes and Lace, as always, had the ladies looking fabulous, and it honestly just so much fun to be a fly on the wall during this part of the wedding day.
One of my favorite parts of the entire day were two songs sung at the ceremony. I always love when couples make things personal and their own, and that’s exactly what Melissa and Chuck did. Early in the ceremony Melissa’s two friends sang for the guests along with the piano, and then just ten minutes later, Melissa’s grandmother sang accompanied by the guitar. It was enough to move many of the guests (myself included) to tears.
Melissa and Chuck, thank you for allowing me to capture your day. I’m so thankful to have been able to end my 2019 wedding season on a high note with the two of you and will never forget the beautiful day that you had. Your love for each other is so evident, and it makes me feel so lucky to be able to have been able to freeze these moments for you and your families.

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
