CHARLESTON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | CANNON GREEN WEDDING | KELLY AND STEVEN

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived.

When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, the first thing I noticed was the HUGE smile on Kelly’s face.  After just a few minutes of chatting with her and the sweetest group of bridesmaids, it was evident that Kelly was just going to be one of those brides. The ones that soak it all in and have the best day ever. When I say that mood carries over through the air and creates the best atmosphere ever, I mean it.
If I had to choose a favorite moment from their day,  it would have to be when Kelly and Steven took their first spin around the dance floor as Mr. and Mrs. It wasn’t because they danced to September by Earth Wind and Fire to commemorate getting engaged on September 21st, although that is the kind of sentimental adorableness that gets me. Instead it was because of that infectious energy that Kelly started the day with had now clearly carried over to the night. And it was a palpable energy.  The kind that makes the air feel electric.  The kind that makes you know what you’re witnessing is so special. The kind that you wish would never end.

Kelly and Steven, watching the way you two light up around each other is something that makes it so incredibly clear just how much the two of you are meant to be together. I’m  sure of it,  as I know everyone who was at Cannon Green that day was too.  It is nothing short of an honor to have been on this journey  with you, and I cannot wait to continue to celebrate your lives together. The best truly is yet to come!

THANK YOU TO THE CREATIVE TEAM!

This gorgeous Wild Dunes Resort wedding in  Charleston, SC for Megan and Ian truly was one of the most spectacular days, but the end result was completely different than what these two first had in mind for their wedding. When I met with Megan and Ian for a glass of wine over two years ago […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
