Cake Smash

BRYCE | AN ALDIE, VA CAKE SMASH

Great minds think alike, right? When Bryce’s mom, Bianca, first contacted me about cake smash photos for his first birthday, she let me know that it would be a “Where the Wild Things Are” themed photo session to match his upcoming party. Rewind to about a month before when I had done the same theme for my little guy’s birthday party, so I knew it would be fun to see how someone else would interpretthe whimsical and beloved children’s book.

We met one morning at the historic Aldie Mill. The lush wooded area fit perfectly with the theme and provided some great backdrops for our photos. BUT it’s clear to see that Bryce is the true star of these photos. It wasn’t easy getting him to smile, but when he did, boy is he a heartbreaker. Happy Birthday Bryce, the cutest little wild thing out there!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
