ASHLEY AND CAMERON | A CHARLESTON PRIVATE ESTATE ENGAGEMENT

In life there are certain situations you can tell a lot about a person from. The ability to roll with punches and not let a change in plans stress you out is one of those. And in the case of Ashley and Cameron, they are just two really awesome people. You see, during their engagement session some unforseen circumstances left us unable to shoot their photos at our original location. And instead of getting worried or upset, Ashely and Cameron quickly suggested we try heading to the property of the AirBnB house they were staying at for the weekend while in town for their friends’ downtown Charleston wedding. And in this case, the change in plans turned out to be blessing in disguise.

Upon arriving at the property we were greeted with sprawling green grass, a treen lined path to the house, and a beautiful pond with a weeping willow tree nearby. In other words, it was beautiful. But more important, Ashley and Cameron were just the best sports in the entire world. They took what could have been a stressful situation and turned it into a funny one, laughing at our bad luck.

And laugh we did. If you’ve ever seen Elaine’s dancing skills on Seinfeld, let’s just say Cameron does a mean Elaine. Don’t believe me? Look below. And even though photographic evidence isn’t able to capture vocal performances, let’s also just say Cameron’s rendition of the theme song to Dawson’s Creek was spot on. 90s and early 2000s tv nostalgia at it’s finest. But more than just the laughter, I loved getting to know the two of them and about their lives in New York City. The icing on the cake? Ashley is obviously gorgeous and not only did she light up in front of the camera, but Cameron lit up around her! My job on this day was pretty darn easy.

Ashley and Cameron, I can’t wait until your wedding. I can’t wait for more Elaine dance moves. I can’t wait for more Dawson’s Creek nostalgia. But most of all I can’t wait to hang out with the two of you again. You two are perfect examples of why I love to shoot couples, and your wedding day is going to be one for the ages!!

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
