ALYSSA AND MAX | A KIAWAH ISLAND HONEYMOON SESSION

Downtown Charleston Engagement Wedding Outdoor_0101.jpg

Like so many other couples this year, Alyssa and Max were forced to change plans because of CoVid. The two were married in Greenville, SC and instead of going on their original honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii, the two ended up booking a trip to the beautiful The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island. While certainly not Hawaii, the tucked away oasis just about 25 minutes from downtown Charleston is a peaceful and gorgeous place to relax for a few days together with both pools and the beach to hang out at. And that’s just what these two did, along with a few rounds of golf.

To document their honeymoon, Alyssa and Max had me meet them at the beach one evening where we had so much fun chatting, taking photos, and reminiscing about their wedding that had taken place just a few days before. I officially am going to try to make  honeymoon  photos a thing after this because it was just SO MUCH FUN!

Alyssa and Max, while I’m so sorry your plan had to change, selfishly I’m excited that I got a chance to meet the two of you and help you create some amazing honeymoon memories. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a special season in your lives. Wishing you nothing but happiness and health for your future.

This gorgeous Wild Dunes Resort wedding in  Charleston, SC for Megan and Ian truly was one of the most spectacular days, but the end result was completely different than what these two first had in mind for their wedding. When I met with Megan and Ian for a glass of wine over two years ago […]

Kelly and Steven are part of the 2021 #rideodyecouple family that waited longer than most to finally make it to their Charleston wedding. Having to postpone their wedding date not once, but twice due to CoVid wasn’t an easy decision, but it made their day at Cannon Green even sweeter when it finally arrived. When I walked into Kelly’s getting ready Airbnb, […]

As a Charleston wedding photographer,  I have to admit that I see a lot of really beautiful big gatherings, but lately there’s been a very special place in my heart for intimate elopements and gatherings.  And that’s exactly what Hannah and Matthew’s day was. A small gathering of just their nearest and dearest on the […]
